Calling all graduate students and students interested in pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission: register here for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) information session on September 11 at 2 p.m.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research. Each Fellowship consists of three years of support usable over a five-year period. For each year of support, NSF provides a stipend of $37,000 to the Fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $16,000 to the degree-granting institution. Deadlines for applications are in October and depend on the applicant's Major Field of Study.

Associate Professor of Chemistry & Fermentation Sciences, Dr. Jennifer Cecile, and Assistant Professor of Chemistry & Fermentation Sciences, Dr. Michael Reddish, will host an information session highlighting how to develop a competitive proposal on Monday, September 11 at 2 p.m. in Room 210B, Rankin Science South.
