About
The NC Water Resources Research Institute (wrri.ncsu.edu), with support from the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR), is pleased to announce the availability of a graduate student scholarship to attend the WaterSmart Innovations (WSI) Conference 2018 in Las Vegas, October 3-5, 2018 (www.watersmartinnovations.com).

To facilitate student attendance, WRRI will provide one student scholarship to participate in the conference. This is one of 20 such scholarships being offered through WRRIs around the country. The scholarship will pay for the student’s a) full conference registration, b) registration for one pre-conference workshop or post-conference technical tour, c) three nights lodging at the conference hotel and d) up to $500 reimbursement for round trip airfare including luggage fees or up to $250 reimbursement for use of a personal vehicle for travel, and e) $100 prepaid Visa card to assist with meals and miscellaneous expenses.  Students will be responsible for their own local transit, parking, and meals. Recipients will be reimbursed for travel by check upon arrival.

The WSI conference is seeking graduate students (master’s or PhD candidates) with research, experience, or interest in the areas of water demand management, water supply, and water conservation. The selected student is required to present a poster of their research at the conference. Four scholarship recipients selected by UCOWR and SNWA will be given the opportunity to make oral presentations.
