2023 State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium

The Office of Student Research would like to encourage undergraduate students, along with their Faculty Mentors, to submit abstracts based on original research and creative endeavors (performance, plays, readings, exhibits, displays, etc.) for presentation at the 2023 State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) to be presented in-person Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.

The call for abstracts will run through October 16, 2023. Abstract submission information can be found on the SNCURCS website.

There is a registration cost for this event ($35/student). Students that are presenting at the event can submit an OSR Travel Grant for registration and travel. If applying for OSR funds students must use the "paying individually" option for Registration - students must pay the registration fee themselves and include this expense in their OSR Travel Grant application.

Travel information is provided on the SNCURCS website regarding which hotels are recommended. Students whose presentation is accepted at this event may apply to the Office of Student Research for funding to support their travel expenses. Those grants must be applied for by the October 15th deadline - please refer to the OSR website for further details on the Travel Grant application process. Students can still apply for OSR funds even if they are not sure if their abstract has been accepted.

Important dates, abstract submission guidelines and site can be found on the SNCURCS website.

If you have any questions about this symposium please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Student Research at 262-7655 or osr@appstate.edu.
