Student research on religion and its effects on organ donation and a controlled greenhouse study on chicken litter were among the winners of a Student Research Poster Competition held at Appalachian State University during the 15th Annual Celebration of Research and Creative Endeavors.

For the second straight year, ASU's AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) student chapter received the AITP National Chapter of the Year award. The award was presented at the AITP National Collegiate Conference in San Antonio on March 29.
BOONE – Thirty student abstracts from Appalachian State University, the most ever for the university, have been selected for this year's National Conferences for Undergraduate Research to be held in Ogden, Utah, March 29-31. The event will be held at Weber State University.
